System Engineer responsible for back-office support and implementation and support of IT-infrastructure used for status-monitoring in the petrochemical business

Stillingsbeskrivelse:
In your daily work, you will be responsible for supporting your own customers, and you will be working in the Danish Technical Hub. Your main task will be to run and maintain the software and hardware systems for monitoring oil and gas production.

You will be part of a team, where most of your co-workers will be placed externally in the office at their clients. Since the manager of the department also will be working externally, it is important that you can make decisions on your own, and execute them. In your daily work, it is important that you can work independently and competently, since you will be responsible for solving your daily tasks. You will often be placed in an office at your customers site, and you will have a very close dialog with the customer. It will be you they see as the expert within your field. It will be your responsibility to secure, that the systems are up and running at all times, in a way so the customer can feel secure.

You will be working in a busy and hectic environment, were you will be challenged daily. It is also important that you are able to see and implement new procedures that can give some new benefit for the customer. You will be responsible for analyzing and reporting data, based on the data flow you register during the day. You will also be responsible for the implementation of new hardware and software. One of your tasks will also be to take care of the necessary training and education for your customer.

Occasionally, you will also be acting as Project Manager when implementing new systems and infrastructure. Since your role will be as the expert, it is very important that you are proactive in the role of changes and adjustments of the daily routines. In case of break down, it is important that you act at once, and report to the right persons, and inform them about the situation and status. It is you, people will turn to, when they want “something fixed”. In order to serve the customer in the best way, you have to be able to put yourself in the situation of the customer and gain knowledge of the infrastructure and local data environment.

You are a self-motivated and skilled IT person.

You enjoy a busy and hectic working day, where you very often will make decisions on your own. As person, you are trustworthy and competent in you dialog with the users, and you are able to make results in a way that satisfy your customers.
In your dialog with your customers, you must be able to spot new possibilities and services for the benefit of the customer.
Among your skills, you must be able to gather and analyze data.

Erhvervserfaring:
You are a Bachelor in either Geoscience or IT systems, with 3-5 years of expierience.

You have to be experience in RedHat, Linux and Microsoft Server systems as well as Oracle databases.

You have also experience with IT Networking.

If you have experience from the oil and gas industry, it will be an advantage.

Uddannelser:
You have an education within IT and maybe a background from Geoscience.

It is vital that you have a certification in Red Hat (RHCSA) and in Cisco Entry Networking, it will be a great advantage but not a requirement. You will be trained within the company systems.

Sprogkunder / EDB:
Since you will be working in an international company, it is important that you speak English on a high level.
You must be a super user within server, network and IT systems.
